Longan

Fruit of Heroes, Dragon Eye!

Longan, from the Sapindaceae (soapberry) family like rambutan and lychee, is a round to oval shaped fruit with a rough shell and brown-green-yellow tones.

The story of the Longan fruit, which is native to parts of China and Southeast Asia, dates back to 200 BC. Records show that during the dynasty, the emperor requested that Longan trees be planted in the Shaanxi Palace gardens.
