Cactus Fig

Prickly Fig Pharmacy

Cactus fruit, prickly pear, chervil, prickly fig and cactus fig, also known as mother-in-law, is one of the most popular members of cactus species.

The cactus fig, which can be grown in many different parts of the world, is in fact so common that its original natural habitat is still unknown. It is thought to have originated in Mexico in some sources, while in some sources it is said to be native to California.

Although the cactus fig is a familiar fruit for many parts of South America, it was first recognized in Europe when Christopher Columbus presented it to Queen Isabella of Spain.
